Technology Developments and Achievements

Because SIP is implemented a bit differently by each manufacturer, Broadvox performs extensive interoperability testing before making our services available to help avoid potential challenges that resellers and customers may face when migrating to an IP PBX solution. This year, Broadvox announced interoperability certification with 8 additional IP enabled platforms, making Broadvox interoperable with more OEMs than any other ITSP. GO!Broadband is now in our product portfolio for prospects or current customers who need a broadband provider or simply want improved quality, bandwidth and speed of their IP communications. Broadvox offers broadband from DSL to T1s and DS3s or bonded T1s. Bonded T1s are two or more T1s that have been joined to increase bandwidth and have dedicated IPs for voice and data and range in speeds from 3.0Mbs to 12.0Mbs.

The wholesale Carrier Dashboard has added functions and capabilities. A sub-set of the User Guide was distributed that explains the features, requirements and how to navigate the screens. The added LNP functions allow loading one LNP request or more than 50 in a bulk upload request, depending on your needs.

A convenient tool was added to the Broadvox website to find available Rate Centers. Either select a state or province from the list on the left side of the screen or scroll over the map of North America and click on a rate center. A list of rate centers available in the area you select will appear.

This year, Broadvox was chosen by VadoMedia to supply SIP Trunking services to School Beacon, LLC, used by schools and universities to communicate emergency and everyday messages to employees, citizens, students, parents and consumers in minutes. The COO of School Beacon, LLC said, “…The delivery of our messages is mission critical and in fact, life and death in some cases. … Broadvox was the clear answer.”

Company Growth and Progress

This year, interest in SIP Trunking grew and more companies rushed to enjoy its cost savings, the increase in productivity it provides and its reliability. This resulted in a need for organizational growth at Broadvox to ensure that our customers receive service worthy of a premier ITSP.

The Customer Service, SIP Project Management and LNP (Local Number Portability) teams as well as the SIP Engineering staff have all been increased to meet the demands of providing for new and existing customers. With strategic realignments and increased staffing, we are pleased to report that the level of customer care has risen dramatically and the Broadvox team has met the challenges posed by the dramatic increase in business.

Coming in 2010

Broadvox has several innovative products in R&D with plans to bring them to market before mid-2010. Business development efforts will enable us to sell our products using new channels and reach buyers that were previously unavailable. With the growth we are experiencing, you can be sure it will be interesting to follow our progress to see what we have in store for the IP Community in 2010!
